It's funny when you run in to something that you've never heard of before twice in the same day in a completely different context. I ran in to Jamendo, which is not new and didn't do anything hype just now. Judging by the graphs presented on the website, it has been around for 2 years now.

Jamendo is a website that serves music that has been licensed under Creative Commons. It is a great idea in itself. It's a good medium for artists to get their work heard and creative commons allows you to restrict the usage in such a way that they can still make money with their own music.

What really surprised me is that i quickly found something i like. Usually free content sites have a lot of unfinished and unpolished tunes. It looks like there is a lot of release quality music. I like it.

Now, where did i see that rhythmbox plugin...
